The next Andrew Whyte Memorial Lecture

This year’s event will again be hosted by Jaguar Land Rover (link) at their Castle Bromwich site on November 25th 2018. This year lunch will be served at 12pm so the event can start at 1pm.

The main speaker at this year’s AWML will be Ian Groom MBE, Senior Officer, HMS Prince of Wales.The Title of the talk will be: Building the Nations Flag-ships. The talk will discuss the challenges of building the UK’s largest and most complex warships, and how the UK industrial base has met those challenges. He will also talk about the future role of the ships, including how they will be used to promote UK innovation and industry globally, and also how JLR has supported the build of these ships and how this will support UK industry in the future.

There will also be a full supporting programme of speakers on a variety of Jaguar topics including the I-PACE (Graham Wilkins) and the new D Type Recreation (Kev Riches).

Tickets are £20 and a cheque should be made payable to JDC Area 7 Charity Fund – please include a self addressed and stamped envelope. A buffet lunch is included and the event supports the NSPCC and Macmillan Cancer Support.
